Georgetown Yacht Basin
And Kitty Knight House
On the Sassafras River
Saturday/Sunday September 13 & 14, 2008
By boat or by car, come one, come all, and enjoy
great fun, food, drink, and camaraderie in the grand tradition of the ERYC.
For boaters: We have eight boat slips reserved at the Georgetown Yacht Basin. Yacht clubs get a price break on dockage fees - $1.75/ft. vs. $2.50, so be sure to mention ERYC when you make reservations. The number is 410 648-5112.
Please call soon; the slips – reserved for Saturday night – won’t last forever.
For landlubbers: A block of eight rooms are reserved for us for the night of Saturday, September 13. They are rooms 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 11. The rates start at $105 per night and go up from there. We have the cheapest rooms – some of the others go up to $170.00. Those with deep pockets can go for the higher class facilities, but only the aforementioned are reserved for the ERYC. Check them out at www.kittyknight.com. Rooms are being held for us till August 23rd; after that they may not be available. Book early and ask for Regina, the innkeeper at Kitty Knight, at
410 648-5200.
For everyone: At this early date, your cruise committee hasn’t finalized activity plans, but we won’t suffer from a lack of scintillating options. The Georgetown pool and picnic area are open to us. And the Kitty Knight deck (super views) has entertainment on Saturday nights. Tentative thoughts call for cocktails on the deck or around the nearby pool then segue into dinner with everybody bringing some side or other and we could grill steaks or burgers. After that, well, the evening is still young. For breakfast (always a key part of our cruise agenda – some of us may need time to make amends for earlier untoward behavior) the Granary has breakfast and they run a shuttle boat back and forth to Georgetown Yacht Basin. Note too, that the Kitty Knight House serves Sunday breakfast, but it’s only for their overnight guests.
So act right now and make your Yacht Basin or Kitty Knight reservations.
And please RSVP with the names of everyone in your group to

Email addendum:
Not too far to sail or drive. Great slips (close to the action). Quality overnight rooms (a first class B&B). Lots to do (nearby shops, a pool) . Lots of time for fun, frolic, and refreshment (including a food, drink, and dancing deck overlooking the Sassafras and a nifty little ice cream shop).
All you need to do now is save the dates, make your reservations, and tell your Cruise Committee who's coming.
